7. Can Cachexia be blocked?

If we can find a way to block gluconeogenesis and anaerobic glycolysis, we may be able to bring cancer to remission. Over the last 40 years, thousands of researchers had attempted to do so. There were varying degrees of success, but not without controversies.

Orthodox medicine believes that cancer cells must be killed and tumor size shrunk to measure the success of treatment. On the other hand, alternative medicine is of the opinion that since cancer cells cannot be killed without harming the healthy cells, it is prudent to contain the disease and to improve the quality of life.

Most of the researches conducted by the pharmaceutical companies and cancer establishments focus on finding patentable poisonous compounds (cytotoxic chemicals) that kill.

Alternative medicine is focusing on finding natural compounds that boost the immune system, inhibit metastasis and block cachexia.

The observation that cachexia is a major cause of cancer death has brought many anaerobic glycolysis and gluconeogenesis in cancer patients.
